Re: iPod settings
My personal preference on this would be to import your music into iTunes as AAC with the quality high, or all the way up. iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Importing > AAC > High (128) or Higher (256) Apple AAC format is roughly twice as good as MP3 at any one bit rate. Thus, AAC 265 is roughly the ...

Re: Audio disappears in middle of audio track
See earlier in the post. I advanced that idea and the general consensus is no. The students went to export their show and there were pieces missing in some very awkward places. Two different students, as I understand it. The rest of the class was OK. The frightening possibility is that the computer ...

Re: iPod settings
iPods will play WAV, MP3, and AAC music formats. What did you produce and how old is your iPod?

Re: recording to cd
<<<Any thoughts?>>> Yes. Audacity doesn't burn anything to a CD ever, in any of the three computing platforms. In the case of Windows, you need to create your high-quality individual music cuts and drop them into Easy CD Creator, Veritas Record Now, Nero Burning ROM or Windows Media 11 and up. I'm n...

Re: Lotsa noise, unpredictable spot, USB turntable
<<<Any other thoughts?>>> Yes. Go analog. If your turntable has a Line-Out, connect that to the Line-In of your Mac and do it that way. Vastly more reliable and the quality change, if any, is inaudible. You'll need an RCA stereo to 1/8" (3.5mm) cable for this. See: Radio Shack. http://www.radio...

Re: No right channel input
<<<Please help. Any input would be appreciated.>>> Did you go into Audacity Preferences and make sure it's set to stereo? If so, then give up. There is no good cure for USB Turntable sickness except to download Audacity 1.3.x and try that. If they both fail, then it's possible the turntable itself h...

Re: Lotsa noise, unpredictable spot, USB turntable
We are this close to throwing in the towel on Audacity 1.2.x ever working reliably with USB devices. You join a lot of people having instability problems. I would download Audacity 1.3.x and use that. You can have both versions on your machine at the same time, although I would only use one at a tim...

Re: no more sound
<<<the mic input level meter indicates max>>> Can we assume you mean the red Audacity recording meters bounce when you speak, but after you press Record and Stop, you don't get a recording--you don't get the green meters bouncing? That's important. The fact that you can't hear it is a different prob...
