This is the forum where we discuss the color of the banners and the font style in the postings. Pleas repost in the forum appropriate to your machine and versions.
Do you like the blue in the banners? I think the font style is Helvetica. It's pretty easy to read.

Re: guitar sounds funny after 3 sec of recording
<<<Note that this doesn't apply to XLR plugs, they work more or less universally.>>> Except for 12v and 48v Phantom Power and that messy Microphone Level/Line Level thing. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audioconnectors/audioconnectors.html The DC bias on the ring connection is isolated--almost always--by...

Re: Recording what's going through sound card
<<<I hope soon there will be a fix for this.>>> Because it doesn't do precisely what you want doesn't mean it's broken. In fact, it's running exactly the way it was designed. The record and playback sides of the Mac were intentionally designed not to interact. What this gives you in a completely and...

Re: Unable to Cut
Are you sure you selected a portion of audio? Is the selection a darker color than the rest of the performance?
Click somewhere in the performance, drag sideways and let go. That's what a selection is supposed to look like. Edit > Cut ...should be active.

Re: No audio playthrough during recording
<<<Why is it working miracles on Pcs and such a hastle on Mac?>>> I agree. Working with Macs is such a pain. That's why I keep my PC machines around. There's just things you can't do any other way. Everybody keeps leaving out a word. "I want to capture xxxxx, for free ." SoundFlower and Au...

Re: I can't get anything to work!
Let's take this one step at a time. You got the song into Audacity and you can play it, right, and it sounds OK? You know the spacebar will play and stop? It's a lot easier that way than hitting those silly buttons. Edit > Select > All Effect > Change Pitch ...and pick the direction you want to go a...

Re: Mixing a Voiceover
You can use the envelope tool to customize fade points. It's in the six tools at the extreme upper left of the edit window--after the "I" symbol. It's a rubber band. Click and drag up and down to get various volumes at various points in the tune. I think you can go into Audacity Preference...

Re: Create an 80 db tone?
dBSPL is Sound Pressure Level. That measures the energy actually smacking the side of your head. The other one is generally referenced to the point where the distortion goes to the moon because you exceeded the ability of the digital channel to carry it. That's clipping or reference to dBFS, or dB F...

Re: File Changes Will Not Save On Export
You are also warned about editing in MP3 land. MP3 is a destructive compressor and when you edit, the damage happens multiple times. The original music was damaged when it became MP3, Audacity had to take it out of MP3 to edit and then put it back for the output file. then you're going to play it an...
