Re: new purchase & install
<<<The OSP DU-01 USB Microphone I got on E-bay.>>> It would seem you are forced to do that because it isn't sold anywhere else. I wonder if it was designed specifically as an EBay product. Has the microphone ever worked? See if you can capture the microphone with the Windows Sound Recorder. That wil...

Re: No sound after exporting as mp3
The Audacity Project file (AUP) isn't a sound file. It's an edit supervisory file and you can't move it or any of the other files and folders associated with your show. When you launch your project, the AUP file goes looking for the _DATA folder and possibly your original capture sound files. If any...

Re: No waveform appears in Audacity window
First thing, shut down the Mac, disconnect the USB turntable and restart. Leave the turntable off. When everything is working again, go into the Mac System Preferences and make sure the built-in microphone is selected as the input and the little lights flash when you talk. Close the panel. Open Auda...

Re: importing MP3
iTunes native music format isn't MP3. It's AAC and Audacity has no idea what to do with that. The desperation method is to burn a music CD and then rip that.

Re: trouble with export mutiple
<<<it can not export to this location.>>> Just to cover the bases, is your hard drive starting to fill up? If you've been doing audio production for weeks without cleaning out some files, it may be getting a little cozy on the hard drive. One other idea, did you try to use any punctuation marks in y...

Re: recording phone conversations
<<<1.Is it possible to record from the modem port?>>> I'm pretty sure this isn't what you mean, but did you mean, "Can I connect to an audio service by dialing into it with a conventional POTS modem and then record the result?" Yes, I think so, but the results are going to be pretty misera...

""Search""
Please tell me there's a way to force a search for multiple keywords in order. No matter what I do, the forum will insist on searching for each individual word in my multi-word search.
I want match pattern, not match word. If it's down there, I can't find it.
