Re: loud feedback from audacity on mac

Oh, don't go. We're not done yet.

Somehow you did a very difficult thing. It's not easy to get the speakers and microphone running at the same time on a Mac.

How did you do it? I would have put money that you couldn't do that on a Mac at all.

Re: File No longer Linked,

<<<We need these files to link to each other.>>> We need your projects to stop failing. If you're on a PC, when was the last time you updated your virus software and did a comprehensive system scan? Re: File No longer Linked,

In no particular order: One great problem with file renaming is the need for leading zeros. 1.au is not 999 orderly files away from 1000.au. 0001.au is. Computer numbering is nearsighted and stupid. Are you absolutely certain that you're not moving anything around after the capture? How about using ...

Re: Lotsa noise, unpredictable spot, USB turntable

You hit all the good ones. I posted a whole How-To concerning capturing your vinyl with the analog cables. You may not need that any more since yours is already running. Remember the step where you switch the turntable to "Line" instead of "Phono." If there is absolutely no bass ...

Re: No waveform appears in Audacity window

When you make a recording, do the bouncing red lights on the upper right consistently stay below 36? Audio below 36, besides being way too low, will not show up on the waveform.
