Re: No pause between tracks
Can we assume you mean no gap on the music CD? That's one of the tools inside your CD burning software. Standard Red Book Music CD specifications put a 2-second gap between music selections. Many of the current burning and authoring programs give you the ability to change that number and one of the ...

Re: Problem with saving projects
Are you in Vista? Don't give up on WordPad yet. The current AUP file represents the wiped clean project. The BAK AUP file represents the project when it was still alive. Make the WordPad window as large as possible and the lines of code will start to straighten out. You will see a series of "al...

Re: Problem with saving projects
Just to cover the bases, what does it say when you open up the two AUP files in Notepad? Do both files start with... <?xml version-"1.0"?> ...Or is one of them trash? It doesn't surprise me that you couldn't find a DAT file because there isn't one. However, you should find a showname_DATA ...

Re: think ive done something stupid, which messed up auadcit
Could you be working too hard? Given that RealTech is the sound card in your machine, I'd try looking on the install CD that came in the box. Sometimes there is a provision to reinstall the native driver software. This is especially true if the RealTech stuff is on the motherboard and not part of a ...

Re: Problem with saving projects
Actually, what it did was save your new project as "AUP" and your old project as "BAK. Audacity keeps a rolling backup of one level. An AUP file is a plain text file (open in NotePad or WordPad) with instructions about how to perform your show--written in computer-ese (XML). Projects ...

Re: help with ,y project is lost and the audacity freeze
You made music with Nintendo and put it into Audacity? You closed Audacity without saving Project? Audacity closed itself because of crash?

Re: Clipping problem
You didn't get a panel that looks like this?

You get two colors of bouncing lights, too. One represents the digital peaks and I think the other is the average wave value.

Re: Adding vinyl crackles 'n pops
<<<find an older LP >>> Or any of my LPs. But this is the desperation method when all else fails. Simple mixing doesn't work perfectly for audio noise and it doesn't work for film dirt very well, either. Film dirt creates an optical "crater" around each particle and each particle is comple...

Re: Inserting Marks During Recording
<<<manually recording the timecode?>>> I think some versions don't tell you the time while they're recording. Did you try it? In any event, you can take down time of day with a good watch and know when you started. I think you can add a label on the fly. Project > Add Label At Selection. On Macs it'...
