Re: removing chirps from guitar recording
This is where we stop and point out that nobody so far has told you how to get rid of it in post...because you can't. This is also a good time for you to figure out how to prepare a short performance on-line somewhere so we can listen to it in the remote, off-chance there is a way to get rid of it i...

Re: removing chirps from guitar recording
These guys are using a grand hoo-haa microphone, but this is a good site to explain the different sounds you can get by simply moving a microphone around an acoustic guitar. http://www.csun.edu/~record/acc_guitar_fall_01/ You also need to know that communications microphones--mics intended to be use...

Also see: ...Can I change an existing song voices into different voices. ...Can I make the voices lower in a song without affecting the orchestration. No. You can get close to number 2 with the Center Pan Removal tool, but most people don't like the restrictions associated with that tool. You end up...

Re: BPM reading of a live recording?
<<<Well, not for video purposes, strictly audio.>>> But nonetheless, that represents three audio programs all trying to stand on the audio services at the same time. We gave up, by the way. Those three programs can't coexist on the same computer. It leads to terrible audio and insanity. I would stop...

Re: BPM reading of a live recording?
<<<a separate program/app/plugin that can recognise a usb soundcard's output signal.>>> You mean like H.323 videoconferencing, Audacity, and VOIP at the same time? I've tried that. It's not pretty. After a failure, it leaves you staring at the screen wondering which one of the programs got the sound...

Re: Can I do minor edits without re-encoding lossy files?
Audacity doesn't edit MP3. It converts to full quality uncompressed and edits that. If you go back to MP3, you will have gone through the compression process twice, once to get out and once to get back in.

Re: audacity in a domain environment
<<<I want to select it once and then every user be able to just logon and use it.>>> I really doubt you can do that. Audacity is not a network/fuzzy-warm program and it has almost no automation for setup. It was designed as a single user application on a local drive. It's especially a problem on Win...
