Re: OUTPUT ECHO

It's possible to record the same sound twice inside a Windows machine--one a little later than the other.

See if anything inside this page helps.

Re: Bizzz noise when playing WMV file in Audacity

Audacity has no idea at all what a Windows Media File is. WMV is highly compressed H.264, so Audacity tries to open it and fails, but it tries anyway. Audacity plays the file as if it were not compressed. If the file is a 4:1 compressed WMV, Audacity will play it four times faster than normal. You n...

Re: Can't seem to record...

That used to be called "What You Hear" or "Mix Out." When Windows people shift into Mac Land, they are horrified to find that option missing. "How do you record stuff off the internet!?!" Since that's a messy rights issue, Windows has been making that harder and harder ...

Re: Volume Gets Lower While Recording

So to recap. You changed the connection and sound source to your machine and the problem didn't go away. Did you try to record a bit using Windows Sound Recorder instead of Audacity? I'm betting that would have troubles, too. <<<Windows Sound Recorder Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainmen...

You understand the down side of succeeding, right? If this works, you get all the postings of all the people who had captures crash.

It's volunteer software. There is no "They."

Re: Time Remaining

<<<What Happens When the time gets to zero?>>> The world, as we know it, will end. Or at least your world will. At that point, the hard drive inside your iBook will reach 100% and the System will freeze. Not Audacity, OS-X will halt and take your machine with it. It's not pretty when this happens an...

Re: HELP!! Recovery? (1200 fragments...)

<<<anyone who thinks they can fix them.>>> That's not likely to happen, but you might be able to figure this out by yourself. Do a simple recording of, I don't know, a microphone in front of a radio for ten minutes. Stop it and save the project. RadioTest. Open up the RadioTest.aup file in Text Edit...

Re: Changing a male voice to sound like a female

I'm projecting based on vast experience.

<<<what I want is to make a male voice sound like a female>>>

Not "My Voice" or "My Singer's Voice," but a disembodied "A Male Voice."

Let's see how I do.
