Call me crazy, but why didn't you use the spectrogram features inside Cool Edit to do the tests?

Re: How to create stereo sine wave?
Both versions are just grand, but the larger one caught me unprepared.

Re: Missing AUP file
<<<Is there any way to rebuild a new AUP file that contains all these tiny wave-blocks so I can bounce it to wav and start working on it?>>> As a rule, no. The wiki page has only limited usefulness even though there is a segment titled Disaster Recovery (or something like that). Let us know if it wo...

Re: Audio Disappears
Make copies of all your valuable original sound files on backup media (not on the same hard drive). Most programs "Save" will keep you out of trouble, but that doesn't work so well in Audacity. In Audacity "Export" will produce stand-alone, self-contained sound files that you can...

<<<there seems to be a lot of 'noise' on my tracks. Re: how to turn raw voice recording to studio effect?
<<<would like to add an effect so that it would sound like it's studio recording.>>> "Studio Recordings" don't sound like anything. They are large, dead rooms that allow the artist to record pure voice so that effects can be added later. It doesn't have to be done with a really good microp...

Re: Audio Disappears
Audacity didn't actually do anything. When you created your project, you exposed Audacity to your capture files, live sound clips, and music files and that's where Audacity is expecting to find them, pretty much forever. Audacity is still looking for them. Audacity doesn't keep internal copies, alth...

Re: Can you PLEASE change the wording of your temp file warn
Nobody will be changing Audaicty 1.2 unless you personally rewrite it from the available source code. 1.2 is two version old software; the Audacity team is trying really hard to bring out 1.4. The "New Features" posts are now burned in steel and we hope they caught all the errors and ideas...
