Re: recording problem with microphone input
Pretend I didn't say this: Did you plug the microphone into Line-In instead of Mic-In by accident? This happens to other people only, never to me.

Re: Can't save as mp3
Sudden Unexplained Windows Insanity can be caused by several things: Are you running out of hard drive room? Do a Properties on your hard drive and see how much room you have. No production machine should have less than 10% free space. Audacity will eventually fail if the hard drive is fragmented en...

Re: Audacity Keeps Crashing
If you could ask us if we need the crash log before you send it? We're having speed and capacity problems on the forum. Thanx.
<<<24 Bit.>>>
Was that it? Mac Audacity hates 24-bit for some reason. Not that you need it.

Re: recording album sides and dividing to separate tracks
Project > Add Label At Selection (Apple-B) in the gutters between cuts. Then File > Export Multiple and Audacity should break your show up into cuts according to the label positions. There's a trick to it....umm....shucks.... I think everybody forgets to put a label at the front of the first cut. Th...

Re: Forum log in/connectivity problems
No other services are affected AFAIK. Many of these failures happen at work in LA where we have stunning fast and wide connections. While I'm waiting for AudacityForum, I go download some YouTube, check several mail services, and catch up on the New York Times. At once. I'm having more and more time...

Re: AIFF export problems
<<<recorded sound>>>
Live recorded sound? Sound that you got by singing into a microphone?
If the AIFF export fails, can you then go back to the Audacity Project later and hear everything?
A lot is hanging on the answer to those two.

Re: Why do i get echo when i play back my recording?
<<<Im trying to stream a techno mix from Radio one online.>>> Let me rearrange the words a little. You're trying to capture a Radio One streaming performance. You aren't trying to push a stream onto the internet. Windows machines will echo if both the raw stream and the computer output (Mix Out) are...
