Re: repanning-recenter stereo
There is no "half create mono" that I know of, but you can actually create a mono version, put that on its own track and then fade between the original two and the mono, stopping when you get to what you want. I can think of a number of ways this can get screwed up, but its worth a shot. T...

Re: Does Audacity still re-encode mp3 files when saving them
<<<Seems like the only program available that doesn't re-encode upon export is Fission.>>> I wouldn't fall in love with that idea. I bet the editing tools are extremely restricted to get that non-re-encode process. I can understand cutting and clip placement and global tools like that working, but t...

Re: Matching EQ
I don't think i's going to work any more than you do, but if you want actual numbers for tool setting translation, that's how to do it. This process will not affect dynamic compression, presence, or echo, so at best equalization will only get you about half way there. There is a joke on one of the v...

Re: MP3 editing-to make song longer.
I don't know that we've addressed this anywhere else. There are tools that will change the tempo without changing the pitch and that's good for about 10% clip elongation or so before it starts to sound funny. It sure sounds like what you want is Editing. First step is download and install version 1....
