Equalizer Graphics

I have transferred this FR and its vote to the Wiki today 14Jul08 - but retained this thread in the Forum, but relocated to Audio Processing - WC This one should be pretty harmless. I want pinstripes inside the equalizer work window to tell me where I am. Quick, point to a place 4 dB down at 7500 H...

Re: Soften Harsher Sounds

Try this. From 13 seconds to 22 seconds I applied a special equalization curve. The beginning and end of the performance are untouched. http://www.kozco.com/audacity/DrumbeatFireEq3.mp3 If that works for you, I can figure out how to send you the curve. This should be possible. I did it in 1.3.5b. Koz

OK. Never mind. It's in stereo.

It is a puzzlement.

I'm still going with something broken. From the pictures can we assume you're working with a Mac? ============================= Pristine 24-Bit Recording to Go Over the past year, EDIROL sold a staggering number of R-1 and R-4 recorders, making “Portable Recording” one of the most successful product...

<<<And then add in: the feature creep of the "Summer of Code" projects ..... >>>

We need a "Summer Of Instruction Book Writing." We know how to write code.

Re: To update or not to update, that is the question!

<<<being a little unfair to the developers too>>> I know how this works. Developer/programmers hate deadlines. Not having them is one of the pleasant features of self-directed projects. However, the down side of that is infinite feature creep and patch leapfrogging. While the program daddies are bus...

Re: Using multiple mics

Mixer. A mixer will give you real time management of multiple microphones and/or high-level sources and provide headset monitoring. No shortage of people who want Audacity to do real-time production. It doesn't. ...or deal with multiple sound devices (USB microphones). It doesn't do that, either. Koz

Re: It Will Not Die!!

<<<I tend to save stereo mixes in AIFF>>> Thus assuring that none of the Windows machines will be able to open them. That's the down side. AIFF is lovely, but it only opens on 12% of computers out there. <<<it's taken on daemon attributes>>> I wonder how many other people have this problem. It's pre...

<<<I see what is going on with this new version by watching these postings.>>> Or you could volunteer to help. How well do you write? It' seems pretty well, although you could be getting one of the students to help you unsplit your infinitives. The instruction preparation is/was the only thing holdi...

Re: ADS audio capture device

Sure. Close Audacity. Apple > System Preferences > Hardware > Sound > Input. Is your sound device listed there? Select it and then play something. The Apple simple sound meter should start flashing (it doesn't have to flash much). Adjust the volume as needed. Now launch Audacity and set the input to...
