Re: Prettier Plug-in Level meters
Just a note here. Digital systems don't have "overmodulation" like analog and ANSI C-16.5 VU meters, do. The only place where you can run into serious problems in digital is trying to go higher than zero. Digital zero is a brick wall. So if you're used to putting most of your show in the m...

Re: Soften Harsher Sounds
<<<applied Drumbeat3>>> Better. Being compulsive, I can certainly see where I could massage it a little more, but it's much better than the teeth-drilling from earlier. Now you need to work on the room. I can practically reach out and touch the faded, rose-cluster wallpaper. I can hear that picture ...

Vista? <<<once i export to either wav or mp3, the quality turns to garbage>>> As played on what? http://www.kozco.com/tech/soundtests.html Can you pull that short Piano Trill down and play it on your system? Here's the splitter, although I'm sure you can find a cheaper one. Radio Shack had a cheaper 3-splitter and they may still if you find the right store. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2123235&cp=&sr=1&origkw=1%2F8%22+splitter&kw=1%2F8+splitter&parentPage=sea...

Re: Soften Harsher Sounds
It was a juggling act curve between getting rid of the teeth-drilling sibilance sounds and sucking all the life out of the performance. There's still an occasional zing that goes through, but it should be livable until we figure out something else. Anybody figure out how to use a de-esser in Audacit...

Re: Soften Harsher Sounds
Did you try to open up the raw capture files in Windows Media or QuickTime rather than Audacity? A quick note. Start talking into the unit and then slowly make it do a backflip in front of your face. At one point, you will be talking into the bottom of the unit. Then do the same thing and slowly spi...

Re: Soften Harsher Sounds
Let's see how complicated we can make this.
I posted my Audacity 1.3.5b equalization preset file to my web site.
http://www.kozco.com/audacity/EQCurves.xml
I got it from this Mac...
/SystemDrive/Users/koz/Library/Application Support/audacity/EQCurves.xml
I have no idea where it is on a PC.
