Re: ACX Audio Review - Post Process in Audacity

Just reading that again. Did you submit a test, or the final book?

If it's a book they may be digging their way through permissions, ownerships and copyright.

Re: ACX Audio Review - Post Process in Audacity

Raw(with my repeats and the dog clicker) WAV That's the hero one. That will prevent you from digging out the microphone and announcing everything again if Audacity goes into the dirt. Park a copy of that one on a thumb drive or second drive or service. Mastered (Front and Back Room Tone, LFRolloff,...

Re: Restoring my project

I had started again with my back up because I need to submit this project for a course and was worried about further complications. If you have original work as a simple Project, it's a terrific idea to Export it as WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit as backup. Copy that off to a thumb drive or other storage s...

Re: Multiple Crashes

Is it a new Mac with Catalina?

Audacity doesn't easily run on Catalina. Which method did you use to make it work at all? Terminal? Was Catalina an upgrade on an existing machine?

If we can't come up with something simple, you may get to wait for the next version of Audacity.

Re: Bug: Crash followed by d/c all audio devices

Which virus software do you have? When was the last time you did the deep inspection where you let the software inspect the machine for several hours? (I used to do this overnight).

Re: Bug: Crash followed by d/c all audio devices

This almost sounds like a bogus post. It always works the other way around. Windows can see the microphone, but not Audacity. I can't think of a condition where it would work the other way to. Pull the microphone. Close Audacity and do a Windows Shift + Shutdown . Not regular Shutdown and not Restar...

Re: Filter Curve 100 hz rumble fix

It would require a studio to go the next step. "Studio" in the sense of quiet room with no echoes. Not a room with a glass-panelled airlock. In two buildings I worked in I had to scrounge for studios. The Main Conference Room was fully soundproofed with special air conditioning ducts. Lot...

Re: Audacity takes very long to start

Are you using Network Connected Drives, Cloud Drives or G-Drives? Does it still do that if you disconnect your internet, restart the machine and then launch Audacity?

Re: Audacity takes very long to start

Does your machine have a drive or HDD light where you can see it? When you start Audacity does it go nuts (flash madly) for the whole startup time?
