Re: Getting ready for You Tube

Not that hard. Put a Label (Control-B) at the beginning of each segment you want to export. Export Multiple and Audacity will present you with individual files of the music following each label.

Re: Help With Saving a Project

<<<All you need to do is to place a label at each track break>>> Or you could place a label (Apple-B) at the beginning of each song. Then, yes, Export Multiple, etc. etc. That will export each label and the following song. Before you do any of that, I would totally export the whole capture as one sin...

Re: Intel Macbook frozen recording

No. I've never had troubles with AirPort running at the same time. Let's take the 30,000 foot view. Something is conflicting with the audio services or causing instability when the show becomes large. Typically that's problems with the hard drive, but you can have software packages do that. Did you ...

<<<Should I be using a different version of the program?>>>

No. You're doing almost exactly what I'm doing although my G4 PowerBook is slightly faster. Which Mac?

Are you using a USB turntable? Which one?

Re: record to single file

Audacity and most other production programs record in little discrete fragments for speed and the better to recover in case of crash. Sometimes this works better than others. You can certainly get a single sound file any time you want it by stopping an Audacity capture and Exporting. That is the pre...

Re: lost file association between data and .au files

I noticed a similar problem in Windows 2000. I had to be careful the order that I opened things.

Re: Audacity Records Too Fast Makes Voice Very Deep

<<<Anybody know what's going on?>>>

What happens if you leave Audacity off and record your material in Windows Sound Recorder?

Windows Sound Recorder
Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment

Does it work?

Re: Intel Macbook frozen recording

Do an INFO on your hard drive. Audacity hates full drives; full being anything over 90%. Over on the video forums, bells ring whenever somebody says "It's worked forever and then suddenly it's making all sorts of errors."

This may be a case where Audacity 1.3.x is in your future.

Did you get Soundflower installed OK? Close everything. Apple > System Preferences > Hardware > Sound > Output > Soundflower (2ch) Launch Audacity. Audacity > Preferences > Audio I/O > Recording > Soundflower (2ch) Audacity > Preferences > Audio I/O > Playback > Built In Output. Audacity > Preferenc...
