Re: Lost file
<<<When I tried to open the edited file >>> That's the problem right there. Audacity doesn't save sound files. It saves Editing Production Environments (Projects) sometimes consisting of thousands of files--and few of them are sound files. It's easy to kill off parts of your project by accident. &qu...

Re: multimedia cd for car cdplayer and pc
On a Scientific, Wild-Ass Guess, I would say a Multiple Session CD. The first session is required to be Standard RedBook audio and that's the one that plays in your car. Computers will see the additional sessions and that's where you put all the additional material. Standard Audio CD format is CDA w...

Re: "Can't Open File" error after click removal
You could be filling up your hard drive. Seriously nasty things start happening when Programs, not just Audacity tries to save stuff to the hard drive and they can't. Waveforms and Graphics are separate events and files in Audacity. It's perfectly possible to have a damaged project and silent wavefo...

Re: "Can't Open File" error after click removal
You left out a step or two. "I recorded an album and after I succeeded, I immediately Exported As WAV to get a stable, stand-alone, high quality sound file suitable for further editing and cleaning later. Then I did it all again to the next album." "Later that day, I opened up the WAV...

Re: Audacity Project Does not playback File
The waveforms come from their own file. It's perfectly possible to get a show out of sync enough to have silent waveforms. And no, you can't start with the waveforms and regenerate the show.

<<<the file in need is still greyed out.>>> There is only 100% chance you got the wrong lame. "I did everything perfectly, but the lame file is gray." Lame It's possible to have the right computer and the right lame and the **wrong Audacity.** Make sure everything is correct. http://audaci...

Re: Audacity Project Does not playback File
How did you create it? I don't mean how you made the zip file, I mean in broad terms, what kind of show was the project and how did you make it?

Re: reduce recording level on karaoke import
So you're really complaining about low microphone volume? Typically, you would put the music and vocals on different tracks, adjust the levels (and sync) as appropriate listening to your sound system, and then combine the timeline into one track. Export as needed. If you're trying to do it all "...

No, I think "Link" is the batch operation. I have no idea which tools can be included in the batch.
