<<<On a Mac...>>>
Oh, I believe you. But it's still a Windows file. Audacity can't find it and you won't be able to find it, either.
Search this page for that filename...

Re: Audio output
<<<wondering if there is a solution??>>> I'm guessin' yes, but there is no good way to find the solution. I killed off one of my USB preamplifiers a couple of weeks ago with this error. Eventually--days later--I figured out the spells to get it working again. They're not published anywhere. I'm goin...

Re: What is the best DVD software for burning large compilat
Audacity, the audio editing program is probably the worst program in the world to help with this. You need a serious video editing and compression program and a very large machine. Video editors need to uncompress videos to work on them, so your season long collection would expand into several TeraB...

Re: Error Message help needed
Since you can't directly edit MP3 files, Audacity has to uncompress the whole show into a project before it can work on it. If it's a highly compressed MP3, the "real" show could take many Gigs. Then there's the UNDO buffer which also has to keep the whole show up in the air one version la...

<<<Has anyone had this happen?>>>
Billions of people have had this happen. One of the Feature Requests is to provide some sort of tool or INFO panel to help a bit more when Audacity throws in the towel.

Re: Audacity.exe
If Audacity is complaining about recording time, then it can't find enough room on your hard drive to put the performances. You may also get this error if your hard drive is badly fragmented. When was the last time you defragmented your C:> drive? Do a properties on your drive and make sure the driv...

Excellent. So you'll be dropping by periodically to step everybody else with a damaged project through this?
Remember, volunteer organization. Everybody pitches in to help.

Re: What is a really good DVD/video converter?
I'm pretty sure if you can't get the work off the DVD, then Audacity is pretty helpless. Audacity will not recognize transport stream MPEG2 in any event, so even if you do get the DVD ripped, you still have to demux the files and then convert them to WAV or MP3. IFO isn't a video file. That's one of...
