Re: How do I divide a long audio file?
If you're that far along, then you might like the Label tools. Put a Label (Apple-B) at the beginning of each song or segment you want to export. Then Export Multiple and Audacity will chop the show up for you. Have you tried to capture a long segment from the internet? SoundFlower? If anything mess...

Re: NEW INTERFACE
If Cubase runs, then the sound is inside your machine and you need to tell Audacity where it is. That means you will be going into the Windows Sound Control Panels. Windows Control Panel http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel You can use Audacity as...

Re: Electric Guitar Recording Sounds Muddy
A note on your amplifier. Because of the way your ears work, you need to double the power of a sound amplifier to get a significant increase in volume. Somebody with a 15 watt amplifier "upgrading" to 20 will notice little or no increase. 30 watts is good. 60 watts should rock.

Re: Saving Files - error message 2
<<<I want simple recordings to put on CD. >>> I bet you don't. A simple recording is you talking into the microphone on your Mac or recording some device on your Mac Line-In connection and capturing it to a file. Audacity and any Mac made in the last few years will do that perfectly. The waters mudd...

In my case... SystemDrive/Users/koz/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music We urge people to do a small project first and take it all the way through the pipeline to see what the shortcomings are. Your particular shortcoming may be that unless you changed it, iTunes saves music in the Apple AAC compressed file f...

Re: Best Turntable for about $100?
For $100 you usually get "plays crappy." All the turntables in this range are stamped-out throw-away devices. The music people almost universally hate them because they have tracking problems (different sound at the beginning and the end of the record) and the drive itself isn't stable eno...

Re: Volume issues- clarification needed- Audacity and ITunes
Just a quick point. Did you make it thorough all that and get a CD you didn't like?
It will take me a minute to wade through all that.

I haven't gone through all the variations yet, but mine seem to do it, too.
