Re: Clipfix (see waveform pic) - plugins available?
The SBBOD (Spinning Beach Ball Of Death) happens when OS-X thinks it's taking too long to access the hard drive--or other storage medium. That and Sudden Computer Insanity happen when you run out of hard drive. No production machine should be over 90% full, and that's the worst case condition. Many ...

Re: Problems with podcasts encoded with iTunes 8
You know it's an MP3 because you can see the .mp3 on the end of the filename? Open the file in QuickTime Player and Press Apple-I to get the INFO panel. What does that say?
Conventional iTunes does not use MP3, it uses Apple AAC format which produces music files that play weird in Audacity.

Just so we're talking about the same apples and/or oranges, pull down the Fraunhofer MP3 file from here and tell me it does the same thing. http://www.kozco.com/tech/soundtests.html I opened this file on my 1.3.6 Audacity. OS-X Leopard 10.5.5, Intel DuoCore Mini. Applied a 1% tempo change successful...

Re: Beginner's Question: Line Output level
Line Out level doesn't affect capture. Most times, the only Out you have is "internal" which works out to be laptop speakers or the headphone jack. In any event, the output level changes with the two volume keys on your keyboard. Poit, Poit, Poit up and Poit, Poit, Poit down. There are sli...

Re: My Audacity won't open.
Search your machine for audacity.cfg and drag it to the trash. Restart your machine.

Re: dressage
Audacity is a general purpose audio editor. If you know the specifications of your show, there's no reason you can't produce a music performance suitable.
And no, I'm guessing there's nobody else on the forum that shows horses.
