Open up your music on the timeline and click inside the blue waves. When you press the spacebar, Audacity will start playing from that point. Spacebar again will stop it. Select somewhere else and play from there. Audacity will not let you fast forward or fast reverse. http://audacityteam.org/manual...

And through all that, what you get at the end is a patched sound track, not the clear one you would have by fixing your machine.
