Re: "Stereo" Missing

I'm not sure what the problem is. If you clicked on Stereo and it worked, what's the complaint?

Re: Cannot export files to WAV format

I'm guessing you don't have exactly the same problem because Macs don't have an F: drive. Windows machines do, but it's usually the CD drive which Windows will not write to without a lot of software help. Change the export destination to C: or possibly D: if you have two internal hard drives.

Re: my client can't hear my files

So many things could be wrong. Can you post some of the bad performance so we can get to it? Any free posting service or your own web site if you have one. Can the client post some of it somewhere? You can't post anything to the forum, unfortunately. I have a hunch, but it's only a vague idea from t...

Re: clipping at +/- 0.5

You can divide the system in half. Do you have an iPod or other music player? You can Plug an iPod directly into the Line-In of your sound card with an extension cable. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102970 Play music and the iPod should more than drive your sound card to goo...

Re: uploading from a web site

You probably got a "stub." A really short, oddly named file that when selected, sends your computer to an internet location to start a live streaming playback. The movie or song isn't on your machine and nothing ever actually downloads except that useless stub. Getting around that is the s...

Re: 1.3.6 Click Removal and Export Multiple?

You may be suffering from a fix for a problem that's been plaguing people. Labels are misnamed. They are Beginning Clip Labels , not Separator Markers. People put one Label between two songs on a single timeline and are shocked when they only get one export. You need to put a Beginning Clip Marker a...

Re: mp3 Lame Encoder not found

<<<Why can't this problem be solved by Audacity??>>> MP3 functionality can totally be put into the base program. Just write a nice licensing check to: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft 46025 Port Street Plymouth, Michigan 48170 Telephone: +734-354-9700 Fax: +734-354-9711 MP3 is licensed software. Koz

Re: new to audacity

<<<44100hz and 16 bit >>> Those are the settings most likely to keep you out of trouble. Those are the numbers of the audio signal on a Music CD, so it's a straight shot from your capture to the CD. However, that's not the way I do it. I do everything in 48000/16 bit from my video heritage and becau...
