Oh. You got really close to wanting to do it automatically. That's called "ducking" and I don't think 1.2 will do that. But anyway, yes, certainly, you can do it manually. The tool is the two white arrows and bent blue line to the left of the PLAY button. I forget....ummmm...Envelope Tool....

First, I'm stunned I was able to open up the Project. Chances of a Project making it through all that are about 10%. One note. I thought I wrote this earlier. The USB trick was done under Tiger OS-X 10.4.11, not under my test Leopard install. If that makes any difference.
