Without digging through all the web pages looking, how does the torq connectiv connect to the Mac? USB? Analog? Whatever it is, you need to select it in... Audacity will not correctly open up a Windows Media (WMA) file.

When you open up your exported WAV files, what are the specifications? Are they 44100, 16-bit, Stereo? Right Click the file > Properties > either Extended or Summary. A typical error is try to manage 32-bit Floating files instead of 16 bit. Those will act weird, and Audacity likes to make those. Koz

Do you have Windows set to show you file extensions? That can help a lot when it turns out what you thought was beautifulMusic.wav is really beautifulMusic.m4a.
