Re: not able to record different sound
<<<Play the on-board piano as a stand-alone instrument-then plug the USB cable into your computer to play a total of 128 sounds and listen to them from the keyboard's audio outputs.>>> That seems to suggest that you only get the mix at the speakers of the keyboard, not down the USB cable. The comput...

Re: creating a sequence?
If they are MP3 files.... Launch Audacity and File > Open the first sound file. File > Open the second file and it will open in a second production window. Highlight, copy and paste between the windows. Add silence with Generate > Silence. If they start acting weird and wacky, they may not be real M...

Re: How to Export in 1.3.7 ?
I think I see the problem. 1.3.7 isn't out yet. You got a pre-release of the program. What's the date on your download file?
That makes you a developer.
Let us know when you get that to work--or figure out a way to change it in some way. Changing it works. Document everything.

Re: Problem with sony tc 105a reel to reel recording
Probably not. Overload usually sounds way too loud, crunchy and gritty. If it's old enough, you might be able to plug the power cord of the tape machine into the wall upside down. See what happens when you do that. I have an FM tuner that I use to capture off-air shows. It hums badly if I plug it in...

Re: How to Export in 1.3.7 ?
D'Oh! I didn't know 1.3.7 was out. I wonder which one they issued. I have like ten or twelve daily builds since I've been testing for the developers. Are you on Vista? Are you suffering from a version of this... http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=797 I'm going to take one giant s...

Re: How do you export to another audio editor?
Set your Audcity format preferences to 44100, 16-bit, Stereo. Export your work as WAV. Microsoft/SGI WAV format is recognized all over the world. Once you make that work, bump it up a notch by changing to 44100, 32-bit floating, Stereo, export the work and see if those files work OK. That's better q...

Re: instant eq?
Audacity still doesn't do anything in real time.
It won't add effects while you're recording, either. That's the more normal request.

For this one we really are going to need to know the computer type, operating system, and Audacity version.

Re: Recording Sets to laptop
<<<Is there something i'm doing wrong?>>> Yes. You're plugging your powerful, high-level sound equipment into the delicate, low-level microphone input of your laptop. There are five conventional ways to solve this --look for the Line-In connection and pray you have one. I think Lenovo Laptops do. --...
