Re: Recording line-in and mic at the same time
Most people want to plug "a bunch" of sound sources into their computer and have it record all of them. Typical computers do one thing only and to mix a bunch of things together takes an outside mixer, console or sound desk (depending on which continent you're from). So the computer, inste...

Re: High Noise Spectrum above 13kHz
I was going to comment that -125 dB is not "High Noise." It's extraordinarily low noise and I would expect some odd digital error to be involved. It way beyond what most analog audio amplifiers can do.

Re: Export finishes, then crash
You're clear, right, that Audacity doesn't make MP3 files? That's the job of the lame plugin, and correct me, that process changed recently? Also remember that "Save Early, Save Often" doesn't work with Audacity. That just produces a brittle, easily damaged Project. The only actual materia...

Re: Removing foreground noise
In a word. No. In order to remove something from a performance, there has to be some difference between the interference and the show. Voices and instruments are too close to each other in quality, direction, frequencies, etc. etc. The hardest part of a video capture isn't the picture. It's the soun...

There's a slightly different way to do it now, but this process should work.

Re: Standard basic mastering procedures, tips?
That is a loaded term. What do you mean by Mastering? You are dangerously close to asking us for the Professional Audio Filter. This is a little something developed over on the Final Cut Pro video forum in response to enormous number of requests. The basic idea is you apply the filter to whatever yo...

Re: basic editing of MP3 doesn't work
You know it's an MP3 because you have your Windows set to show you File Extensions, right, and you right-clicked on the file and the Properties > Extensions or Properties > Formats confirms that it's an MP3? A lot of the time you get magic like you have because the file you're playing with is not an...

<<<I tried to upload something>>> What? You can't start us in the middle of the movie. We need that scene where Ilsa walks into Rick's Café the first time. Describe the show. You were able to export it very nicely as a WAV file and that was too big so you did what? We live on specifics and detail. Koz
