Re: Cue Points
What are you using the cue points for?
Audacity doesn't support Edit Points, either. The closest it gets is Labels.

Re: i just bought a USB mic and it isnt working with audacit
<<<It may be necessary in Audacity 1.2 to restart Audacity for the changes to take effect.>>> You might also consider resetting Audacity to 44100, 16-bit, Mono. My USB microphone didn't work at all until I did that. <<<Hearing my voice delayed to the headphones makes it impossible to use the headpho...

Re: opening of saved project fails!
Sometimes you can get this if you put punctuation marks in a filename. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash and underline are the only accepted characters. I don't use spaces either.

<<<I do not have a Ph.D in electronics.>>> No, but we're going to need a bit more information. What precisely are you doing? Like, "I bought an ION USB turntable and I'm going to connect it to my Mac PowerBook G4 running Tiger and I want to record my records to Music CDs in iTunes." We nee...

Re: recording itunes radio remove high pitch tone
The noise reduction tools in Audacity 1.2 are value-free. To get any sort of good, stable, useful tools, you should install Audacity 1.3. You can install both Audacity 1.2 and 1.3 as long as you only launch and use one at a time. Audacity 1.2 projects will open up in both versions. Audacity 1.3 proj...

<<<Any ideas.>>>
Yes. I would have posted this in the forum for your Audacity version and computer platform. So we're going to start by asking you which Audacity, what kind of computer and which Windows?

Re: WAV files exported from Audacity are not bit-identical
You started the movie in the middle of the second act. What was the original and what format and specification was it? Did you restore that original specification and are you sure? Audacity likes to occasionally scramble export services particularly in the early 1.2 version. FLAC will not manage flo...

Re: Mixing Board Software
As you point out, you can do a lot, or actually all of this in Serious Post Production. "OK, here's where we stop talking and I'll put the music in later." That's how they build movies. There's only one camera on the set. They shoot the same thing a million times from different angles with...

Re: Mixing Board Software
The problem with the VOIP software packages is that in order for them to work reliably enough to be an actual product, they have to grab the computer sound services with white knuckles and not let go. Remember, they have to open up bi-directional sound channels and work exactly like a telephone, so ...
