You can send the total output of the computer out to be recorded instead of just the new pieces. Audacity doesn't save sound files. It saves Projects which are show building blocks sometimes running into thousands of files. To get a single, stand-alone sound file requires you to Export one.

Where did you get the music from? Some copy protection schemes can do that. Did you rip one of your own Music CDs with CDEX?
