Re: "Save" button in "export" dialogue box is grayed out
Mine is 1.3.7. File > Export... > Edit Metadata > OK ...which opens one of these two windows. Or at least it does here. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/ExportSimple.jpg http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/ExportFull.jpg The bottom one is an expansion of the top one. Does any of this look familiar?...

Re: can't record a tape
I don't do insanely complex or multi-channel shows. If I did, I would be forced to use Projects more. But I don't. All my stuff is relatively simple and I haven't used Projects for a show ever.

Re: can't record a tape
That's what "Save A Project" does. No further work on your part is needed. The problem comes when you actually start editing a Project. Should you, say, import a sound clip into your show, that clip, in its current location becomes part of the Project. You can Save Project all day long, bu...

Re: Slight clicks in tracks problem
You can get back to "zero" if you have the original install disks. That won't hit anything in the middle. That will just give you then and now. I have stand alone licenses for Panther, Tiger, and Leopard, so I can step to 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5. I can't go back further unless there was somet...

Re: Slight clicks in tracks problem
The real slowdown is the massive log files that are taken care of with Periodic. Let me know. The easy way around that is download and run the free Mac Janitor. That's basically a script file that automatically runs all the Periodic commands. If you've never heard of that, leave several hours for yo...

<<<soon-to-be vanished file>>> Exported or Saved. And it's not "A File." Windows Cool Edit does that, too. If I crash Cool Edit after a capture but before any management actions, I can open up the Windows Temp folder and find thousands of little abandoned CETemp files wondering what the he...
