Theory says yes because record and playback are different panels on a Windows machine, however...

That will kill you because that already uses up two of the two channels you have.

I can't find the wiki on actually how to execute what little scripting is already there. Called "Chains" by the way.

You should probably kill the Audacity Preferences which in 1.2 for Windows is very hard to do. try downloading and installing Audacity 1.3.7. You can put both on your machine as long as you only use one at a time.
