Re: Exporting to MP3 format

Let's drag you back to the beginning of the movie. What's the show and where did it come from?

Re: Audacity stops recording

You're still running multiple media packages at the same time. Your hard drive has to play the song in real time, VLC has to run in real time, Audacity has to run in real time and the capture has to write to the hard drive in real time. Too many real times. Convert the song to something Audacity can...

Re: Creating a simple action

As has been pointed out already, none of this stuff works in Audaciy 1.2, whose forum this is. It's all available in Audacity 1.3. Audacity only had very sketchy support for command line operation. I believe zero or maybe the ability to launch the application with a file already loaded. And yes ther...

Re: multi-channel screenshots wanted

Somebody who bought a multi-channel device that's not just many stereo systems, and got it to work, and took the time to read this, and then sat there doing sc...

Theory says yes because record and playback are different panels on a Windows machine, however...

<<<I want to record a live audio stream>>>

That will kill you because that already uses up two of the two channels you have.

I can't find the wiki on actually how to execute what little scripting is already there. Called "Chains" by the way.

Re: microphone level

You should probably kill the Audacity Preferences which in 1.2 for Windows is very hard to do. try downloading and installing Audacity 1.3.7. You can put both on your machine as long as you only use one at a time.

Audacity 1.2 Projects will open up in 1.3

Re: My recording sound goes low

This generally happens when you apply sound to a computer (usually PC) that has Automatic Level Control turned on. It also happens frequently if you feed the high level output (Line-Out, Tape Out, Headphone Out) of a mixer into the low level input (Mic-In, Pink) of your computer. That's a bad sound ...

There are two messages there, but "Replies" shows zero.
