I thought I'd mention that you're on the wrong Audacity. There is no unconditionally stable Audacity 1.2 for us. We need to be on 1.3.7 or whatever is current.

I don't remember if this is in the thread or not, but have you trashed your Preference file? Go > Home > Library > Application Support > audacity (trash the whole folder). Restart Audacity and it should ask you "English?" at first birthday. You need to put all your custom settings in again...

You totally need to confirm that an actual recording took place after the meters stopped. My guess is no. Just because you can still hear it means the monitoring pathway survived, not that you have a recording.

They both play at once in the broken show, right? We normally hold a funeral for your show when that happens, but you actually have a fighting chance. Put both tracks in Audacity one above the other and invert one of them. Effect > Invert in Audacity 1.3. If you didn't do any production to either of...

You should probably leave it here for a bit. This is also the down side of holding a message stream for hundreds of postings. All the elves answer multiple questions and the longer ones are hard to follow. There is no provision for plugging your microphone directly into a Mac. So you need a mixer or...

Isn't it true that anything you present to Windows Media Player is automatically converted to WMA? That's actually one of the problems as you can't stop it.
