Did you change operating systems? The leap from Tiger (OS-X 10.4) to Leopard (OS-X 10.5) caused a number of software problems. Did you go from an older PowerPC Mac to a newer Intel machine?

There are some slippery words in there. It is a sound editor, it's not a WAV editor. Count the number of people posting who "saved their AUP sound file" and tried to pull it into iTunes.
