Re: Trying to make a good 'narrator' voice sound
Some of that could be the microphone. SM58 has low frequency droop to avoid popping and handling noises and there's that presence peak around 5KHz. I suppose if you generated a curve to take the microphone out of the picture, the curves are published, then that might help some of these minor voice i...

Re: Trying to make a good 'narrator' voice sound
I guess it doesn't matter any more because it's past midnight - Eastern, but it starts funny. The music doesn't duck fast enough or the first voice doesn't punch enough. Past that, it's good to go.

Re: Splitting tracks in less than one second intervals
Audacity has a Snap To: setting somewhere on the bottom of the work window. Turn that off.

Re: Weird "limiting" recording problem
<<<Does anyone know why this "artificial limiter" is now turning up?>>> I bet I got a good idea. Skype doesn't Play Well With Others and neither does Audacity. And then there's that other software package. Each one insists, absolutely, that they are going to reconfigure the computer sound ...

Re: Increasing recording time
Once you have Exported sound files, you can put them anywhere. Capture to a second internal drive if you can or the system drive if you need to. Make sure it's error checked and thoroughly defragmented. Sometimes, assuming a Windows machine, the Virus software starts slowing things down. Disconnect ...

Re: A Few Questions about 1.2.6
I personally might have posted 1.2 questions in the 1.2 forum instead of 1.3... <<<do I have to just go thru it in real time?>>> Audacity doesn't have scrubbing where you get the chipmunk sound, but if you stop playing and click somewhere in the blue waves, that's where Audacity will start playing n...

Doesn't your phone have a Line-In? Isn't there an App for that?

Re: Increasing recording time
What do you back up to? If Windows comes up with a screen that says, "No System Found. Please provide a drive or network address with a bootable operating system." Now what? The rule is to back up all valuable work at least one layer -- My Documents on your system drive and My Documents Ba...

Re: Edit while recording
<<<I need to edit audio tracks in real time whitout stop the recording of main signal. This is necessary in professional broadcasting.>>> Then you'll need a professional editing package. Audacity does not do anything in real time but straight capture and play back. We've been known to recommend an e...
