You can try it. Audacity uses timing to do stuff and that kills network operation, and may kill you, too.

Re: Best CD Burner?
<<<CDex>>> I've used CDex for a while. Any program that supplies a WAV file at 44100, 16-bit, Stereo should do it. That's the format of the sound on the disk -- always. Any sound file other than that is going through data conversion. <<<I heard EAC is better.>>> Did you hear how it managed to be bet...

Re: streaming audio recording balance
I think you have a phase problem somewhere that is canceling out who or whatever happens to be in the middle of the performance. http://www.kozco.com/tech/LRMonoPhaset4.wav Play that and listen carefully. It's in four segments. The fourth segment is intentionally damaged. http://www.kozco.com/tech/s...

Re: Distorted Sound
Does your PC setup say you can switch one input connector between High Level Line-In and Low Level Mic-In? Or alternately, do you have a Line-In connector on your sound card -- sometimes blue? If all that is no, you are greatly overloading your sound card. The Mac people can do that cable trick, the...

Re: selecting and editing TWO tracks at once?
I believe Audacity 1.3 will do that.
You can install both versions as long as you only use one at a time.
Audacity 1.3 projects will not open up in 1.2

Re: Opening a file crashes Audacity
Q. How do you spell your name, Mr. Kozikowski? A. Very well, thank you. Are they five hour long sound files? Six? No shortage of people on very modest machines trying to open up shows that are so long they won't possible fit. Right-Click on one of the odd files and select Properties > advanced, or e...

Does that work? Turn the amp off and plug this thing directly into the guitar. Go into Audacity Preferences and ma...
