<<<he has a rather "unorthodox" style (read "grumpy") >>> Grumpy and irritable! This thread drags from January 23rd through now. In that time, we've helped thousands of other people out of trouble and I, personally can't keep all that in my head and still remember where my car ke...

Interesting idea. This is me writing that down.
Can I assume you'll be in Audacity 1.3 for that?

Re: remove coughs
The sneaky way to do this is replace the cough with a phrase of song from somewhere similar in the song. Start a second timeline under the current one and paste the song possibilities on that. In 1.3, it's Tracks > Add New. Audacity will play all the tracks unless told not to. Use the Timeshift and ...

Re: Problem with vst plugin.
Audacity doesn't support all VST plug-ins. There's a particular problem if the plug-in uses a complex or highly customized interface. Audacity will not support that.

Re: Generate Silence in 1.3.7 versus 1.2.6
<<<Can I assume that whoever is at the top of the Audacity food chain disagrees and thinks 1.2.6 behavior is not preferable?>>> I think it's much more complicated than that. The modules are interlinked and sometimes a simple change to the user interface causes all sorts of problems to ripple through...

Doomed to Search Forever!
Again, sorry for posting a forum issue here. How do I get Search to stop helping me? Say I Advanced Searched for "Zoom." The hits arrive and I want to post one of the responses in answer to a question elsewhere on the forum. All I can do is post the search response URL, not the actual addr...

Re: problem opening stored project
<<<Audacity read that and loaded it into the system and I listened to each track.>>> No it didn't. Audacity created a Project which is a management file (AUP) that pointed to the tracks on your Zoom. When the Zoom vanished, so did your show. The blue waves are created by two graphics files and don't...
