Re: Recording a Call from Pamela to Audacity
<<<I have my digital voice recorder ready to record from the speakers if I have to>>> Do that first. That's your protection copy. <<<you're not referring to the mic/headset jacks, right?>>> Well....yes. If you have a reasonable sound card, it should have (from memory now), Pink low-level Microphone-...

Re: Bizarre behavior
Yes, although they use very different Windows drivers and you could have error correction on a mouse which would drive a sound show right into the mud. Windows used to have a program called Sound Recorder. Windows Sound Recorder Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment It had some severe re...

Re: Recording a Call from Pamela to Audacity
Recursive problems. My favorite. Are you on a laptop? The system dug you something of a hole. To record Pamela, you might need to change system settings and that may disturb Pamela to the point of failing. If you're on a Deskside computer, you could put an audio cable between the sound card Line-In ...

Re: Bizarre behavior
And Audacity is a complete slave to the machine it's running on, so that leaves the computer. Since both USB ports fail, I think you shuffled across the rug one too many times and partially fried the USB chipset on the motherboard. This happens all the time with the video people who are constantly s...

Re: Bizarre behavior
Does the light work? There's a light on the front of the microphone and I believe it changes colours depending its mood. The microphone gets its operating battery from the computer. The USB connection is doing two different jobs. It's sending 5 volt battery from the computer up the wire and it's rec...

Re: Also issues opening stored project
There is a joke here. Only the neatness freaks and compulsives have trouble with this. They're always cleaning up and organizing. We professional slobs leave things laying around all the time and this problem just never comes up for us. Unintentional peek into your character. Do you want to visit my...

Re: Bizarre behavior
We are less puzzled, but just to give it the benefit of the doubt, can you post the URL illustrating your microphone?
This is mine...

Re: saving.aup files to mp3 in Mac beta 1.3.8
The solution may be not using punctuation marks in the file name. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash and underscore. That's it. All other characters are forbidden and may cause machine instability.
In particular a slash mark will drive a new Mac nuts.

Re: 1.3.8 fails to start. Asking for Native Instruments Fold
<<<But does that mean it is running on your system without any problems?>>> Yes, both. Intel Mac Mini and Intel MacBook Pro. Leopard. I haven't tried to recut 'The War Of The Worlds' radio broadcast, but they both launch. They are running different 1.3.8 versions. The Mini got the plain version from...
