Gasp. I need to lie down for a minute.....
Of course, that's assuming the original QuickTime was made with a codec that ffmpeg understands.....
Can you put the track back the same way?

Not everybody supports 32-bit in the Outside World. I have rescued a project where a voice actor supplied...

Re: Audacity crashes when importing a video file
Audacity does not recognize video files. You'll need to strip out the sound track with maybe MPEG Streamclip from Apple and then edit it in Audcity. Then Export a repaired sound file and reintegrate it with your picture. I think you can do that in QuickTime Pro.

Re: 1.3X always crashes
Audacity 1.3 never gets as far as launching the first time? I install by making an audacity1.3.8 (or whatever the version is) folder and put all the program pieces and folders in it. Then I drag that to the /Applications folder. Is that how you do it? The more you split up the pieces of the program,...

Re: 1.3X always crashes
Normally we discourage posting a million pages of crash analysis unless we ask for it, but that was actually instructive. I see BandStand Synthesizer, Audacity, something called UnSanity Ape_Agent, probably a timer agent called Semaphore, AmpegXVSUNO, DVCPro HDDemuxer, AVS Services, AVC Controller. ...

<<<have to go get one from my brother>>> Now you sound like my sister. Something on these lines should work nicely. Radio Shack makes a 12" version in white which would be perfect. <<<http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102949>>> You might also consider a "Y" cable ...

The green one is probably Line-Out. Take a powerful flashlight back there with you. Tiny fan icon with an arrow pointing out?
Did you make the protection copy of the show on your digital recorder?

Re: One channel is saturated
When I open up my Windows Volume Control panel, each up and down fader also has a balance control on top -- left/right. Make sure all of the balance controls on both panels are centered.
