That's the microphone I have. My sound captures only work with the Audacity settings 44100, 16-bit, Mono. If you have to change these settings, be sure and restart Audacity.

Cool Edit 2000 provides a link/unlink check box. I believe the default is to link.

Audacity doesn't Save sound files. To get a real sound file, you have to Export one. File > Export As...
Once you do that, you can move them around, manage, and re-edit them with no further damage.

Are you following the File Naming Convention? Upper and Lower Case Letters, Numbers, Underscore, and Dash. That's it. All other characters may create problems -- particularly the slash mark "/".
I need to share files between all three computer types, so I don't use spaces, either.
