Generally the best you can do is make your regular voice slightly better. Sometimes. If you try to move the pitch too far (Effect > Change Pitch) you start to sound like a martian or other space alien. If there was no expression or character in your voice to begin with, there won't be any at the end...

Put a label (Control-B) at the beginning of each song you want to appear as a separate performance. When you're finished, File > Export Multiple.

WAV files are acceptable to all three computing platforms. That's why it's the default uncompressed format in Audacity.

It's good to know what the lights are trying to tell you. It's not just clipping. They indicate that the incoming sound signal exceeds Audacity's ability to form a perfect digital copy.
