I don't exactly know that I follow that, but there is no way to minimize the split meters, hot keys or not. I think I know what the problem is in a fuzzy sense. What kind of Mac and which System? Will it let you Export As WAV? You should do that if you have a show you're trying to save. Did you have a system crash or an Audacity crash during a live capture? Anyway. Close everything and restart your Mac. G...
