Re: Waveform color....

Actually, it's a little more involved than that. The nomenclature is a little out of date. If you have Mac/Intel/Leopard, the only Audacity left for us is 1.3. Mac/Intel/Tiger would still run Audaciy 1.2.5, but Leopard took care of that.

Re: Waveform color....

Audacity 1.3.7 has an experimental feature called "Themes" where you can change colors around.

Re: Play audio without recording

You can go into Audacity Preferences and select either Hardware Playthrough or Software Playthrough. Either one should work to do what you want. Restart Audacity.

Re: Installing Lamelib

We don't often get a clean sweep any more. Audacity 1.2.6 will not run right on an Intel Mac and Audacity 1.2.5 will not run right under Leopard OS-X 10.5. So rip out Audacity and don't forget the Mystery Preference File... Trash Mac Audacity Preferences http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: distorted & garbled after 50 minutes

<<<SATA 500 GB.>>>

Internal?

<<<3 consecutive nights, during the 50th minute until the end of the recording. >>>

So a capture like this has never worked right?

Re: Selected part of track, cannot cut, copy, trim, etc.

Let's take the obvious ones first. If you start a fresh Audacity, does it act OK if you try to edit this 6 second sound clip?

Re: Echo Audiofire2 "Error while opening sound device"

Is this an Intel Mac? If it is, you're on the wrong Audacity. Mac/Intel/Leopard effectively killed off Audacity 1.2. You can get Audacity 1.3.7 from here... http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-1.3.7.zip That's the one I use for daily production, or, for a little more adventure, y...

Re: KHz Rate for podcasts

There's a festival of misinformation. The AUP file is an Audacity Project Manager. It's not a sound file. If you want to create a sound file, you need to Export one -- and I would. I do constant simple production in three different Audacity versions and I've never used a Project except to explain it...
