Re: Help cleaning up recorded phone conversations
Step one of Noise Reduction is to get the noise profile. After that, it keeps the same profile unless you restart the program or get a new profile. I don't know of any default value. The Program Sound Soap has default values. You tell it which kind of utility power you have and it automatically look...

Re: STARTING FROM PAGE # 1 HELP !
<<<That is a lot of typing>>> And be clear that Music CDs don't carry titles. You're only typing the titles in because you want to print them on the CD, not be burned into the music. If you put a new Music CD into your computer to play it and the computer isn't on-line, the titles will read Track 01...

Re: Help cleaning up recorded phone conversations
We're clear what you want to do. The reason nobody's leapt to your rescue is there is no rescue. We would be hard put to fix these performances one at a time by hand and some of them are in doubt. Chains will only manage simple, predetermined tasks. So, no, I don't think this job is going to happen ...

Re: Exporting MP3 files as "multiple"
You can get that if you put a date in your filename. You can't use a slashmark.
Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore and dash only. No other characters in a filename.
I don't use spaces, either.

Re: exporting mp3
We're missing the words "I dropped my WAV file into [CD Authoring Program] and told it to burn a music disk. If you can't say that sentence, then you're doing it wrong. There is always a CD management program in there somewhere -- at least in Windows. The later Windows Media programs will burn ...

Re: Lost Work :(
Let's see (hauling out calculator) Audacity always does everything internally at maximum quality uncompressed, so one hour at about 700MB gives you two hours at about 1.4GB and with the capture and UNDO services double that again, so a fuzzy 3GB of drive space for your show and still maintain at lea...

Re: Lost Work :(
No, I mean again, again. A healthy Audacity should let you UNDO and REDO as many times as you want with no damage. If you do get the whole show back, Export As WAV immediately, if it lets you. Do you know how full your hard drive is getting? If something like this happens again -- or it won't go bac...

Does it let you REDO again?

Re: Post Recording Echo
<<<What's a good way to get rid of a person's echo on Audacity?>>> You don't. Echo is one of the fatal errors. Are you using Skype or one of the other collaborative services to record the show? Everybody needs to be wearing headphones. Echo Cancellation never works very well and headphones are a rea...

Re: Lost Work :(
There is Edit > Redo. Does that bring you back to where you were? If you close Audacity, no matter which tools you are using, the UNDO and REDO services reset and that material is lost. It's a good idea when you have completed a music or performance capture to Export As WAV. That will produce a very...
