Re: Post Recording Echo
Log in one at a time or log out one at a time. Sooner or later you're going to figure out that every time Joe or Jane logs in, you get that whine. You're doing the whole show in post production, so you can do troubleshooting before or after the capture session. Yet another reason not to do the show ...

Did you press stop at the end of the performance capture?

Re: Post Recording Echo
<<<Are you talking about the Dynamic Compression plugin?>>> Yes. One of the ways Chris gets such a smooth performance is that he looks ahead to try and predict what the show loudness is going to be before needs to do anything to it. Most processors just take it as it comes and they can be surprised....

Re: Removing Mobile/Cell Interference
I think that's incorrect. I think the cellphone is messing up the recorder. We have several editors whose cellphones drive us crazy. Every time they get a call, all the computer speakers in the office go nuts. BRBRBRBRBRBR__tick_tick_tick_tick_ BRBRBRBRBRBRBRB. You need to separate the two or shield...

Re: Project files of 1.2.6 and 1.3.9 compatible?
The AUP file isn't music. It's a surgically correct, detailed list of what and where your music is. That's why if you change anything at all for any of the components or any of the files, there is no show. Poof gone. The compulsives will tell you that you can fix a damaged show one of two ways. You ...

Re: Wave Out Mix
It's not the same as putting a jumper cable from Line-Out to Line-In. I don't believe it goes through the analog pathways. I believe the sound is captured at the output digital buffer and reversed back into the computer. I believe this is also the reason the quality of the sound card doesn't matter ...

Oh, and next time Export As WAV instead of or in addition to Saving a Project. You can back up a WAV file into a thumb drive for safekeeping. That's harder to do with Projects.

Re: Help I'm desperate
I don't think Audacity meters will open without the main program. Is the program hiding off the screen? Windows has a setting where you tell it to auto arrange the stuff on your desktop. If you temporarily enable that, all the windows should become visible. Did you launch from a desktop shortcut? Tr...

Re: Post Recording Echo
Yes. It's the first number. Reset from 0.5 to 0.77. There's nothing wrong with 0.5, but it gives a little tighter show at the higher number. Oh, and there is one oddball problem. This will make no sense. Chris works best when there is about ten seconds of "something" at the beginning and e...

I think last April. I'll consult my notes.
