Re: Missing audio data block files
seems that Audacity changed files names by itself That's a clue. What did you call the projects? The exact filenames? You should only use lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers, -dash- and _underscore_ in filenames. Other characters can carry meaning you didn't intend. Slash marks can mean...

Re: noise reduction flatlines all
Noise reduction works in two steps. Select some of the pure noise—the exact noise you don't want. Re: Setting RMS level
See, this is one of the negative reviews. I don't know if my unit which I returned was defective but this device was entirely too quiet. Even after using third party software to amplify it, the only way to sufficiently loud enough was to be directly on the microphone, close enough to stick out your ...

Is there a headphone volume control on the back of the microphone? I have the user manual, but nowhere does it show the rear and you need a volume control to make headphones work.

Re: Setting RMS level
didn't even think someone would reply so fast! The Audacity forum is a little odd that way. We actively cover 9 time zones. I need to look up your microphone. Many home microphones have quiet volume for marketing reasons and that may not seem to be a big deal—you can make up the difference with the...

I wouldn't do quality analysis on earbuds. They were pretty for the picture.

Re: Help Recording with audacity
This is a Behringer UCA-202 stereo USB adapter. That's my stereo mixer on the right. This may be the best all-around solution. Good quality, stereo, bi-directional, local monitoring, and not very expensive. It's one of the devices certified to work with overdubbing sound-on-sound. I have two. https:...
