Re: Listening to what u record in real time possible?
Most Windows laptops will not handle a High Level, Stereo show from a sound mixer. That's one of the things that got left off when they made a Windows Business Computer. All Windows machines are business machines whether they say "Entertainment Edition" or not. You can do this with most la...

Re: Bulk Normalize
<<<The graph that shows up looks fancy enough, but I have no clue how to correctly use it.>>> Graph? This is my blank look. You must have the more modern patched version. The slightly older version had no graphs. The older version would do a very remarkable job straight out of the box with no change...

Re: Bulk Normalize
<<<Documentation is not written for technical illiterates such as I>>> Sometimes it doesn't work even if you're not. Audacity will not Save a sound file. To get a common WAV sound file you have to Export one. This will produce a very large sound file with little or no damage to the show quality. If ...

After you install the tool, restart Audacity if it was already running.

The first time you have to boost the level of the interview without affecting the host, it will magically become worth while.

But it plays perfectly correctly before you delete a selection?
Where did you get the WAV file from? Windows likes to hide file information. You'd be shocked the number of people that think all music files on a Windows machine are either Windows Media or MP3.

Re: Trouble with saving file...
Audacity will Save or Export multiple files from one performance if you place labels inside the performance -- one label at the beginning of each song. File > Export > Multiple. Other than that, Audacity always exports one performance. You can pick what Audacity Exports by drag-selecting a portion o...

Re: Bulk Normalize
<<<Doing it manually has produced results that are not only time consuming, but basically a waste of time>>> Not surprising. Normalize doesn't affect show loudness except as an accident. Both Normalize and Amplify change the Whole Show At Once so that the one loud peak goes to a set voltage level (i...

Oh, and yes. In 1.3, this is Tracks > Add New > Audio Track.
As many times as you need.
Cut, Copy, and Paste your brains out.

Re: Problems with cutting and splitting
It's more exciting than that. If you have an Intel machine running OS-X 10.5 or later, there is no stable 1.2 any more. Apple > About This Mac > Processor and Version. Neither of my Intel machines will run 1.2 in any useful manner. I use Audacity 1.3.7 from here for all my daily chores... Audacity 1...
