Re: Moving the selected area
<<<It would be nice to have continuous loop while you edit the selection start and end boundaries>>>
Audacity doesn't do anything in real time. It's a post production management tool. Same reason it doesn't scrub. Or apply effects during capture. All related.

Re: Cannot import AU files
Audacity will not save sound files. Audacity saves Projects which get turned into sound files of completed shows later. To make a sound file at any time, File > Export As WAV. You can make an MP3 file, too, but that's a little more complicated. Since you already have several projects saved, you shou...

Re: Multiple Export
Place a Label at the beginning of each song. No other option. Everybody always leaves out the first one and it throws the count off and sometimes the export becomes scrambled.

Re: I want to only hear the background vocals/noises....
The Vocal Removal tools work be deleting Stuff In The Middle. That's why they only work on a Stereo show. In a Mono show, everything is in the middle. Many of the more common tools also give you back a mono production after filtering out the lead singer. This kills all the rest of the tools. One of ...

<<<I downloaded and compiled both audacity 1.3.9>>> What is this "compiling" thing of which you speak? You'd probably get significantly fewer blank looks had you posted in the "Compiling Audacity" section of the forum. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=19 Koz p.s. Yes...

Re: Two questions regarding quality of the audio
Tinny we can do every day and twice on Sunday. Digital overload is usually fatal. We're talking 95%. Once the show gets so loud that it exceeds the channel, it's pretty much permanently gone. Do you have any way to post a sample of the crunchy, overloaded work? You need to send WAV. MP3 has its own ...
