Re: numbering sequence with over 100 tracks

I now why it's happening. It's a leading zeros problem. In a block of 900 items there is no "1." There is "001." You count from the left, computers count from the right. However, it's not Audacity's problem, although I would have required leading zeros myself. The Music Player wa...

Re: Can't play exported files in itunes

iPods will or should play almost anything. I believe they will play AIFF or WAV files if you can stand having only twelve songs on your iPod. Chances are they will not play 32-bit floating music. Open the music up in QuickTime Player and Command-I INFO. If it doesn't say 16-bit, then there could be ...

Re: Won't do what I "tell" it to do

First, don't double -- or triple post. We all see all the posts.

Second, when you do something like this, it's traditional to include a link so we don't have to go cranking all through hundreds of posts looking for yours.

Further, see other post.

Re: Audacity executing commands when I name a file

Missed a step.

You can install both 1.2 and 1.3 as long as you only use one at a time. Audacity 1.3 Projects will not open in 1.2.

Re: Audacity executing commands when I name a file

Yes. Stop using Audacity 1.2 Modern Macs do not support Audacity 1.2. I'm comfortable with Audacity 1.3.7 from here... Audacity 1.3.7 -- Mac http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-1.3.7.zip ...or you can grab the current 1.3 issue from here... http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_m...

Re: aup to wave file

And just a note. AUP isn't a sound file. It's a Project Manger -- it's programming language. That file in addition to the _DATA folder and any other music you imported into your show are the actual Project. It could be thousands of files. The first time you get one single sound file that you can ema...

Re: aup to wave file

When the metadata window comes up, press the OK button and it will vanish. You can change the Audacity Preferences so that window will not pop up next time.

Edit > Preferences > Import/Export > Export Dialog (near the bottom).

Re: 1.3.5 or 1.3.10

<<<So which is the newest/most complete? >>>

The newest is 1.3.10, the most complete is 1.3.11. 1.3.10 has some export problems solved in 1.3.11. If you're happy with your current version stay there until 1.3.11 becomes the normal offered version.
