Re: Help needed with distorted audio
<<<I've got the project file saved>>>
The Project File goes along with the _DATA folder. They both have to be there and all the music you imported has to be exactly where it was.

Re: Calibrating the volume between two tracks
<<<Use your ears, not numbers.>>> Don't do it! It's a trap! Billw just neatly opened up the Great Speaker Debate. What are you listening to the show on? Good Quality Headphones? Killer Sound System? If you're trying to mix on the little speakers in your laptop, you could get a lot of surprises when ...

Re: Sound has disappeared
The AUP file is an XML language laundry list of what you did and where everything is. You can open it up in any Text Editor and read it. You get killed when the listing inside the AUP is different from reality.

Re: Calibrating the volume between two tracks
There's software that takes care of that directly.

Chris's Compressor gently evens out the volume changes within a show similar to how a radio station does it.

Re: Getting lots of feedback and tinny sound when recording
<<<I can't record anything without feedback and a horrible tinny sound. >>>
That was your Mac trying to record the internal microphone while it was playing the show out the teensy, little speakers. It should sound a lot better when you record the internet sound directly.

Oh, and yes. Intel Macs with Leopard do not support Audacity 1.2.

Re: STILL can't add my mic even after reading wiki
Some USB microphones also require 44100, 16-bit, Mono instead of stereo. Reset Audacity Preferences and restart Audacity. While you have the Apple System Preferences panel open, do you get the bouncing blue ball sound meter when you talk into the microphone? That proves that the sound is inside the ...
