Re: Stick UNDO to each track?
The show has no music in it at all. It's all special effects human voices gathered (carefully) from different places. All exactly match in technical specifications, but they do not match in quality or effect needed for the final show. Playing the composite show changes with each effect and each voic...

Re: Running two projects simultaneously.
The Export WAV thing is still a terrific, lossless way to push show material between otherwise incompatible programs. That falls apart if you have sixteen tracks of special effects, you're kind of stuck there. <<<I simply used line out and back to line in on the computer.>>> Do you know for a fact y...

Re: Running two projects simultaneously.
You may not use 1.2 and 1.3 at the same time. That is not supported. You need to stay in one version for the whole job. Open the project in 1.3 and Export As WAV. That WAV file should open up in 1.2. Audacity Projects will not open "downhill," 1.3 > 1.2. What did you find that 1.3 would no...

Re: Annoying export problem/staticky sound removal.
<<<I have numerous windows open here in 1.2 where I'm doing different stuff with this song>>>
What happens if you close everything -- literally everything, restart the machine, open one Audacity and export a sound file? Does it still crackle at you?

Re: Annoying export problem/staticky sound removal.
<<<only when I play it back in Audacity.>>> If you re-open the final WAV file in a fresh Audacity, is it still moderate level with no red clipping bars? Are you in WAV format? Strange and unpredictable things happen when you import compressed music and then try to export compressed. MP3, ACC, M4A an...

Re: Mic Interface questions
It's not latency that kills you in multi-track. You an easily tune that out in Audacity 1.3. It's listening live to yourself during the performance. You basically can't. Hardware Playthrough comes the closest to feeding your own performance back to you in real time, but it's never perfect and not al...

Re: Project Rates
I work in a video shop and do all my work at 48000. Hasn't failed yet. What actually happens? 48000 isn't available in Audacity Preferences? Is it gray? Does Audacity refuse to record at 48000 when you try? Get detailed. We live on detail. You know that Audacity will force a project rate change when...

OK, I'm lost. Ask that again and use different words. What interval?
The detail of the spectrum display goes up as you magnify the window and the latest spectrum display has grid lines in it.
