Forgot one piece. Denise was on headphones, too. so neither voice had that gargly, bubbly, echo-cancellation-artifact Skype sound. Skype (in this case) was loafing the whole time.

Yes. Headphones are absolutely required for this trick. You have too many live sound pathways flying around to make a good recording otherwise. No. The Alesis keyboard comes with sustain pedal, USB cable, and Ableton Live Lite Alesis Edition software.
