Re: Project Tracks Silenced
Audacity should work OK as long as you have the AUP file and the _data folders in the same folder. You may have gotten burned by another unfortunate Audacity default. Are the shows collections of music from files? Did you bring the music files over, too? Audacity doesn't copy music files inside itse...

Re: Keyboard shortcut interference
Since this bubbled up again, you need to know that if you're on an Intel Mac (Apple > About This Mac) under Leopard or Snow Leopard (10.5 or 10.6), your machine does not support Audacity 1.2. Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.11. Intel Mac people still running Tiger (10.4) are fine with Audacity 1.2.5, but I ...

Re: How do i overdub my vocals?
Yes, but. In Audacity 1.3, there are provisions to tune out the latency delay -- the time difference between the playback of your old voice and the recording of your new one. What most computers don't have is a good ability to play the mix of your new and old voices to your headphones. That usually ...

<<<with RGB cables. >>> Another red flag. With.... what? In general you can't use component video cables to do this. You need one of these... http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=23690 ...or shorter. It's pretty hard to overload a Mac Stereo Line-In, so something is very wrong. ...

Re: Default .VOX sample rate
Right. So the sound is in a compressed format that Audacity doesn't understand, which is why 1.2 didn't exactly know what to do either. You can try to convert all your files into WAV with Super or Switch (download). One or the other or both may have a batch mode. Audacity is a terrible converter and...
