It's possible this is a problem with 1.3.9, but we can see. When I load a stereo track into Audacity 1.3, the panel on the left says: Piano2, Stereo, 48000Hz, 16-bit PCM and there are two blue waves on the screen. Audacity 1.3.11 is the current champ. I'm using 1.3.7 and I got myself into some menu layer difficulties last night that I'm sure were resolved in later versions. 1.3.10 had known problems and prompted an acceleration of the 1.3.11 release.
